"Working with Linda on her storytelling session was a smooth-sailing journey! During the event, she engaged our participants very well which made them feel confident in asking many intriguing questions. I think Lockdown Hair has left a deep impression on the children, as they are able to relate to the global situation and laugh at many exaggerated scenes in the story."

"I have been waiting for a book that addresses the pandemic and life changes and Linda did it BEAUTIFULLY! I love when books are diverse without trying to be preachy and simply represents diversity seen in real life. I cannot wait to share this with my classroom and use it as a starter point to meaningful conversations."

Welcome

Hi there and welcome to my website!

I’m Linda Steinbock, a children’s picture book author, I recently released my first self-published book, called Lockdown Hair. I started this website to share my belief in the power of children’s voices. I love to write about girl protagonists who embody diversity and persevere through their curiosity and humour to find hope and love in a complex world.

Touching Distance is my blog which further explores topics close to my heart; maintaining connections, living courageously and loving vulnerably.
