Just a quiet sense that something in me needed attention.
So yesterday morning, I made a simple intention. I decided to be fully present with whatever crossed my path. No forcing clarity. No pushing through. Just staying open.
And that small intention shifted everything.
After my appointment, I spotted a handmade jumper with bright parrots on it. Completely unexpected. But it sparked joy the second I saw it. It was playful, colourful, and somehow exactly what I needed. So I bought it.
Then, as I was leaving, I ended up in an easy conversation with someone I met by chance.
On another day, I might have kept moving. But today I stayed with the moment.
We talked about life, her kids, home, hope. Nothing heavy. Just honest human connection. And something in her steadiness brought me back into myself. My thoughts started flowing again. The fog I had been feeling shifted.
It reminded me that sometimes we do not need to know what we need. We just need to stay open enough to notice the things that help us land. A small conversation. A handmade parrot jumper. A moment of real presence.
I know it might sound crazy, but something shifted in me when I connected with the woman who was put in my path. My mood changed! My key indicators?
I felt HAPPY and grateful. I had several work calls after that, and my thoughts and ideas flowed, and I could hold my energy.
So, this morning I thought to myself... There might be someone I know who feels something's off and just needs a little reset. So, if this is you now, or you know this happens from time to time, here are a few five-minute resets that help me reconnect.
5 Minute Resets and Reflection Invitation
1. One slow breath Notice where it lands. Awareness is enough.
2. Drop your shoulders and soften your jaw Two quick shifts that change your whole state.
3. Stay with one real moment Give someone your full attention for sixty seconds.
4. Name the signal Something as simple as “I am having trouble focusing.”
5. Use your senses Look at something real. Colour, texture, movement. It grounds you faster than thinking.

You don't have to wait for clarity. Try and pay attention to the small signals, follow the things that spark something in you (sometimes it's a core value: for me, it's connection), and then let presence do the rest. It's often enough.
With you, Linda
